View to the east from inside the underpass. A cyclist coming down the steep slope needs to be under control, or else risks a fall, or collision with someone in the underpass. The horizontal planks of the railing are relatively bicyclist-friendly, but the railing comes closer to the edge of the path as it approaches the culvert.
